Where could i find a cable to connect my guitar to my computer?
Matt asked:
I want to connect my guitar to my computer for recording music. Is there any type of cable that can do this? If so, where could i find it?

At radioshack.
You’ll need some sort of Analog -> Digital interface to connect a guitar/microphone/keyboard/etc to a computer.
Here’s a bunch in various price ranges…
There is a thing called a lightsnake they sell em at target now i think you can also order them online. They work pretty good its uses usb.
There are a bunch of Usb Audio Interfaces
google that you will find a bunch of stuff.
Personally i record using a cheap recording mic it takes a little bit to find a good distance from your amp but it sounds fine to me.
Also if you plan to just take a cable off your output of your amp you can blow your sound card (been there done that)
Dude, their is a much much easier way. You know that cable you use to plug your guitar into your amp, well from any store with an electrical section, you can get a little converter that takes it from that large size down to the size of them little headphone ones. Then you plug it straight into the microphone port in your computer. And they only cost like $1.
Once you’re blasting sound through your computer speakers, use audacity to record it. Its a free program and does a wonderful job. Have fun jamming out.
look up what type needed on the internet…
then wright it down and go to a thrift store and try to find 1(if u want to speed do it buy one from a eletronics place)
