What’s different between an acoustic guitar with bridge pins and one without?

I’m moving up to an Alvarez this week and my current guitar just has holes for the strings. Do I still use the same strings? I’m a die hard Elixir fan.

    You should try Entertainment & Music–this is home repair & maintenance.

    Yes you can use the same strings.

    Yeah you can use the same strings. I myself use elixir strings on my guitar. They work all the same.
