What type of guitar plays at the beginning of the James Bond music?

    I found it very easy to play the song in Drop D tuning (DADGBE) instead of the standard tuning (EADGBE). It sounds very much like a single coil pickup which gives it that twangy surf sound. It also has a good amount of reverb which help to give it that “surf” sound as well. As far as a particular guitar, I can’t give an answer. A Stratocaster or Telecaster style guitar would be great candidates, but they’re not the only guitars capable of that sound. Hope that helps. Andy L
