I’m planning to learn how to play the electric guitar, I love j-rock, and am on a budget of $250 or less. I am opting for a pack with the amp, guitar, etc. Which pack should I get? And, what brands should I lean towards? Thanks in advance.

Hello, You should get a Squier Strat Pack at Guitar Center for $250. These are great guitars for beginners. They are made by Fender which is one of the best brands for electric guitars.

id go to walmart, i mean guitars are gonna sound the same pretty much, so for a starter guitar i recommend walmart or something of the sort….ive got a walmart first act guitar and its pretty decent.

i know it might sound cheap or something but target has some amazing musical instruments even for intermediate players. and they are the cheapest there than anywhere else

Well, on a $250.00 budget, all the sets are about the same. However, look at it this way. It is a very inexpensive way to learn if playing the guitar is your gig. If so, later down the road you can bump up to a more expensive model. It also boils down to how well you learn to play. Check with a local guitar store for a quality package on a budget. Don’t look for equipment in pawn stores. Too many times they are stored in inappropriate climate, temperature and simply displayed wrong. Many store the guitar by leaning the neck against a wall. A real no-no. Anyway, I hope this helps. Rock on!!

This may tip your 250 budget by like 20- 30 dollars.

get a Dean Evo XM or Vendetta XM -both are same, just different shapes. ($100-125)

and a Roland Micro Cube amp ($125) or Roland Cube 15X ($100)

and you’ll also need to buy cables and bags and whatever else you need so.. ($0-????)

Well you can just by a Stratocaster pack with amp and chord I think for around 150-300 depending on quality I bought Squir Start for like 100 and even though its a not to good ( but not bad ethier) I still play it so yay but, its beginning type of guitar a stratocaster is and you can update it ( changeing pick ups and strings, etc.) so it out you might like it!

go to guitar center and try out some guitars. I bought a yamaha pacifica and it wasn’t half bad. It was only 150 dollars then go buy a Marshall MG15CD 15 Watt amp. 130 dollars which would put u over ur budget by $30 but my friend got a squier guitar pack and the amp sounded like shi*. omg the noise was horrid trust me get the marshall and u wont be sorry.
