Use some simple chord charts, find out how to make sound, then play by ear. Its far more accurate than tabs which just give you fingerings.
Try this site, it shows all the chords and you can hear them as well.
Accommodates both left hand and right hand stringing.
A Fretlight Guitar with any compatible software application is an excellent tool for teaching yourself to play guitar. You can get them on Ebay at their “Back Lot” sales page for much less than they would cost if you ordered one directly from their website.
guitarmasterclass.net for an amazing 2000 something of lessons for beginner, intermediate, and advanced lessons. plus if you have any questions for the instructors (which are professional guitarists) you can ask them in their lesson commentry or in the forums and they will respond straight away. Have fun on your slide to succes.
good! its great that you want to learn.
ultimate-guitar.com will give you guitar tabs (simple note sheets)
chordbook.com will teach you chords, scales, and has an online tuner.
youtube is always nice to see if there are any videos of someone making a video lesson (usually there is someone)
ultimate-guitar.com worked really well for me, and chordbook.com has taught me the more advanced stuff that i needed to learn how to write my own chord progressions
