everyone has there own preference id start out with a acoustic first cause you can take it anywhere and its cheaper, if you go with a acoustic id try out Alvarez there not too expensive and they don’t sound to shabby either.
I would start with a ACOUSTIC then get a music book with the CDs
I’ve been playing 4 years now and I started with an electric. It was a strat copy made by Washburn. It did the job but I found that I quickly out played it. If you know for sure 100% that you are going to stick with it then I’d say invest in something around the $400 mark instead of wasting money by buying something crappy and upgrading a year from now. However, you if are a kid or are unsure of how interested you or you’re not prepared to work hard and learn then just get a cheap strat copy or a $100 acoustic.
gibson, yamaha or gibson, for a beginner acoustic u should prob get a nylon string.
electric:
cheap good quality
more les paul looking:
those are electric packages, for more visit :
acoustic :
more acoustics
squiers by fender are really good to start with, its made by fender, which are really good guitar makers.
if you are willing to spend just a bit more money for a better guitar with better looks, get the epiphone les paul. the les paul looks are very popular. also, its epiphone, and epiphone is made by gibson, maybe you have heard, gibson is like the most popular guitar. its really well made. the cheapest gibson is 400$, but if you don’t want to spend that, get an epiphone. hope this helps and good luck.
squier bullet its only $99 comes with a tremelo and is a great electric guitar for a starter. i suggest getting a $100 range amp as well.
if your looking for an acoustic i would choose a
Fender CD-60 Dreadnought Acoustic Guitar-$200
or
Washburn D100DL Acoustic Guitar-$150
————————————-
i started on an acoustic and eventually got a squeir and now i have an ibanez. all of these guitars are entry level and still very good. if you want an electric i would highly recomend the squier bullet, you can get any color you want (even the brown sunburst which looks amazingly good). good luck choosing a guitar i hope this helps you make your desicion
I have been playing for 3 years and can play really good right now. I can play mostly all METALLICA songs and even Eruption by VAN HALEN.
If your like me and a serious hard core metal rocker. DONT GET AN ACUSTIC! I have 5 guitars and none of them are acustics
Anyway, I reccomend starting with electric. Here is a list I made of things to look for when getting your first guitar.
1.Solid Body
2. Bad Strings (I know this sounds weird but bad strings are easier to play but sound worse.)
3. Nothing too fancy (Dont go jumping into DEAN RAZORBACKS for your first guitar)
4. Good pickups
5. Comfortable
6. Whammy Bar
7. NOT A FLYING V! (Unless you plan on standing up while practicing)
8. Cheap
You dont HAVE to have these things for a good guitar. In fact most nice guitars dont have 50% of these things. But you dont need a nice guitar when starting. My first guitar was a cheap 150$ Costco box set. That was all I needed.
Good luck and hope you the best in your guitar hunting!
start with an acoustic because they are a little harder to play so you won’t buzz or anything when you pick up an acoustic after playing electric….it doesn’t really matter what kind you get for a begenner i would get a really nice expensive one because guitars can last forever if you take care of them so when you begin you will have a good guitar and when you get better you will have a good gutar and not be stuck and complaining with a sh*tty guitar…and when you get one get it set up
This really depends on your budget. If you’re a beginner, I’d try not to spend too much on your first guitar. If you’re going for an acoustic, try a Washburn, Alvarez, or a Yamaha. I’ve personally played at least one model from all three and they were all very high-quality.
If you’re wanting an electric guitar, you have even more choices. The two most popular guitar brands, Fender and Gibson, have their own budget brands, Squier and Epiphone, respectively. Both of those brands make nice starter packages. The Epiphone G400 is a pretty nice looking guitar, and I think the starter package is only somewhere around $200. Epiphone also makes some nice Les Paul look-alikes as well.
Almost every major guitar brand has a low-price version of their more expensive models. Some examples include: BC Rich, Ibanez, ESP, and Yamaha. If you’re looking for a starter package, check this link:
If it’s within your budget, I’d try for the Epiphone Vintage G400 and Amp Pack on page two. I wish I started with a guitar that pretty. They shred, too. *drool*
Most everyone I know, however, started with a Squier by Fender stratocaster model. I personally hate the look of Stratocasters, but it’s your call. Also, Squier makes a mean little guitar called the Squier M-80. It’s somewhat hard to find, but it’s only $100 and it looks and sounds amazing.
All Guitars Are Different. I assume you already know the difference between Acoustic And Electric. I have been Playing guitar for about 3 years now and i have a Behringer Guitar and have had this the whole time i have been playing. It its an Electric Guitar. I have heard that learning to play on an acoustic guitar is easier, but if you dont have long arms, then the instrument can be rather large and uncomfortable to play. The Behringer Guitar can be purchased at a variety of places, including, Walmart. Prices Usually Range between 100-300$ so its not too bad on the wallet considering some guitars can cost up to 10,000 Dollars. The guitar is easy to use and it comes with a great amp. The Amp even has Distortion Built it. It was a Great deal and i am still, 3 years later, 100% satisfied with it.
Good luck finding a good guitar.
I personally like SG’s myself.
If you want an electric guitar that sounds really good clean (think Eric Clapton or Stevie Rey Vaugh), get a strat like these( ).
If you want a great distortion guitar ( Fall Out Boy, Green Day, AC/DC, Van Halen), get an SG or Les Paul like the ones here ( ).
If you want a good Metal guitar, go for an Ibanez or BC Rich like the ones here ( or).
If you want an acoustic, go for one of these ()
Hope this helps!
