trying a getting like a guitar bundle. when i got mine, it cost $200 but it came with a fender starcaster, an amplifier, guitar strap, case, 3 picks, and an instructional dvd on how to play chords, i thought it was a good deal.
i got it at best buy, a weird place to get a guitar but it was a pretty good deal.

I’m just learning to play guitar, and I have my dad’s old Yamaha. It’s nothing special, but it works great for a beginner. Guitars have something called the “action,” which is the space between the fret board and the strings. If that space is smaller, it makes the guitar much easier to play because you do not have to put as much pressure on the strings. My guitar, however, does not have the best action. It was very difficult for me to press down the strings at first, but the more I practice, the more strength I gain in my hands. This is a good thing because it means that I should be able to play any other guitar I pick up. Even though it makes learning challenging at first, it forces you to build up the strength you need to play well.

I started off with a Ibanez Gio bundle. It came with the guitar, a 15 watt practice amp, an instructional DVD, strap, some picks, and a tuner. The guitar lasted me about a year before I outgrew it.

Also I would recommend making a few introductory guitar lessons as part of your budget. They will help you get started off on the right foot so you don’t waste too much time picking up bad habits! Check out to find some local teachers.
