What is a good but relatively unexpensive guitar for beginners?

The question says it all. I have been trying to teach myself to play with a crummy guitar from one of those beginner packs and it sucks. I dont have too much money to work with, only about 300$, so im looking for the best thing i can get.

    Well i dont know were your from but i am here at philippines and beginners here at philippines will use a ukulele but my you also have one there and after your long practice with it your ready to buy a real guitar but for the money in the ukulele ask from your parents ok…..

    get a fender stratocaster, they usally start around $300

    my friend has this and its acually really nice, my brother has an ibenez and it has amazing action.

    this is made by squire so its not as good quality as a fender but OK for beginers
    this guiatr would be awsome, much better then fenders i think, but it depends on what you like.

    i would highly recomend the ibenez. Also be sure to read the review on the website
