Fallen Angel asked:

I’m trying to Improvise a guitar solo and I Like the solos from Death and Morbid Angel.
As a base a scale builds a solo, so I want to know what scales did Chuck and Trey used.
No metalcore fan responses please.

I haven’t listened to much Death, but from what I’ve heard, you need to try some of the harmonic minor modes. They sound very evil. Try this website to learn about them. mguitar95

While I’m not entirely sure what style of music these bands are, I’m going to assume that they are metal. If this is the case, expect to hear the following modes:

    Aeolian
    Dorian
    Phrygian
    Harmonic Minor
    and the occasional Hungarian. Caleb
