What are some ways to improve my guitar playing skills ?

I’ve been playing electric guitar for 2 years now , and have mastered it pretty well (mainly classic rock). But i feel like there is still alot of room for improvment.

Every good guitar player will tell you there is always room for improvement so you have a great attitude, there is lots of ways to increase your abilities, try this for fun throw on a jazz, or blues C.D or something different and just improvise over it. I use to do this with my piano over Pat Matheney, had so much fun I didn’t realize how much better I was getting. Good luck
The main way I myself have improved my guitar playing which may work for you as well. I started playing a lot of classical and neo classical. Yngwie Malmsteen, Paganini, Bach, Jason Becker to name a few. The difficulty level of these musicians are high but it is very rewarding when you learn a song.
Classical is a basis that you can never go wrong with. Look at Randy Rhodes. He had studied classical guitar before he played the music he ended up playing.
In the words of Yngwie “You should enjoy what you are doind. Otherwise there is no point in doing it” So basically study stuff that suits you and your playing will improve.
If you are looking for exercises to try out go to and check out some of the lessons there. There are a lot of great guitar players on that site giving out free advice. Forcus toward Alternate picking and Sweep picking (arpeggios) This improved my playing.
