Okay, so right now I have a Jackson Dinky DXMG guitar and I have passive EMG HZ pick ups, which suck. I am trying to find some active guitar pick ups to buy that are great for heavy metal. I need some that sound crisp and clear, and make it easy to do pinch harmonics and such. Any suggestions? Please provide a link to any pick ups you recommend to Musicians friend or something if you can.

i have the 81-85 set up in a ESP and they work well for metal. they are hotter sounding than any others I got. they have a few different one like the zack wylde ones are different than the kerry king ones. etc. pinch harmonics come out easier with high gain settings on your amp. as well as turning the pick sideways.

Try EMG 81-85 set or Seymour Duncan Blackouts. Both brands sound great, it just depends on personal preference when choosing between the two.
The Blackouts are cheaper but dont sacrifice any quality.
