What acoustic guitar do you like better the Martin or the Taylor?

I would love to buy a new guitar that is high end. I love the Martins and the Taylor’s. But there is something about the Taylor’s that really grab me. I love the Martins too and the mild tones go better with my voice.

So I ask you, what guitar do you like better the Taylor or the Martin?

I’ve been playing a Martin D-28 since about 1970. I’ve played many others. Gibsons, Taylors, Guilds, Yamahas…you name it. But my old Martin just gets better with age, and is truly one of the best sounding guitars I’ve ever heard. Taylors are tremendous guitars. Probably the only “other” guitar that gets up into the Martin/Gibson league, unless you have a hand made Gallagher or something. But I have to go with Martins in general. Dont worry about the “tones” and your voice. That’s not why you choose a guitar. You choose it for how IT sounds and feels.
I played my instructer’s Martin once and it was freakin amazing, wu better than my crap dreadnought.
cant go wrong with either. If you are torn then Martin just cuz
Check out Blueridge guitars.
They are high end, but not as popular, and not as expensive.
Martins and Taylors are both amazing guitars. But look around at other stuff. If you don’t have a price range, then just search for sound. Because you don’t have to depend on Martin and Taylor for high end sound. You can find other stuff.
I’m A Poor man & Play A Takamime Acoustic / Electric 12 string & Love It Only $1100
Personally, I prefer Taylor. I love how Taylors sound, feel and look. As for Martin, I feel that they’re a bit overrated and overpriced, but not necessarily bad instruments.
The decision, however, is up to you!
I think it depends on the primary use of the guitar?
I can’t comment on Taylors..haven’t played them enough, but for me, Martins are excellent for recording in the studio, but the best live-sound acoustic I’ve ever heard is the Gibson J-45.
I prefer Taylor.
