Asgiuan asked:
I’m dumb. I’m getting my first guitar (+ amp and all that stuff), but I don’t know what kind of cord I use to plug my guitar into my amplifier. Do these cords usually come with the guitar, or otherwise the amp? What are these cords called? Anyone have a link to one?

How to sand the finish off a guitar?
brndnew asked:
I’m planning on painting my cheap electric guitar. Right now i’m just concerned about sanding off the original finish. I’m going to use a palm sander, and i think i will start with a rough grit paper and then go to a finer grit, but I’ve never done this before. Anyone know how i should go about doing this?

Should I start learning how to play guitar on an acoustic guitar or an electric guitar?
DRLasso asked:
I’m gonna be buying my first guitar soon, and I’m wondering which I should start out playing with first. I have absolutely no experience playing guitar, except for Guitar Hero which shouldn’t count. Any suggestions? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Is it Ok to join the output of guitar effect to normal speaker system?
Nyein Z asked:
I bought an electric guitar and guitar effect.
I already have an old guitar amp which is not good now.
I am thinking to join the output of guitar effect to normal speaker system for live show or to computer for recording instead of guitar amp.
I am just worried if it will harm my speaker system or computer.

Can the hanging of an electric guitar on a wall gradually damage the guitar’s neck?
Alex asked:
I’m curious because I’ve been told that humidity from the wall causes the neck to bend more easily. If humidity is the issue, note that I live in South Florida.

Hanging the guitar would free up some space in my already cramped room. Do you have any other space-saving recommendations?
