George asked:

How do I write rhythm and lead guitar to work together, escpecially during solo. What power chords/ chords will go with what when soloing? Thanks
If the notes were in the same scale would it just work itself?

What ever sounds good to you. If it starts sounding like a cross between Slayer and Miley Cyrus your doing it wrong…..very wrong.

Well you can either do it completely by ear or by theory
I’d just base it around the key that the song is in. As long as it sounds good to your ear then it’s fine :)

play it first by messing around with a few notes then write them down when they sound right.

Come up with a set of chords to solo over first, then…

    Solo over it.

It helps if you know what key you’re in. Keep it in key and you pretty much can’t go wrong… there’s the old musician’s trick, you just hit any note.

Each scales has it’s own chords. You should chose from these chords for your scale by your sense you know.
