How to fix a rattling string on my guitar?

You might need to tighten it at the top with the guitar screws. That is usually the cause of a rattling string. If you cannot solve it that way, I would take it to a music store and ask someone there. Associates there usually have at least a basic knowledge of instruments since they are working there.
It’s probably buzzing against a fret. You need to raise it up a little bit from the bridge. Look down the neck and see where its rubbing, probably the first fret next to the nut. Raise the string from the bridge until it’s not touching the fret and you should be good. Usually just a hex wrench will do it, it’s easy..
It sounds like it’s a cheap guitar.A good one will not do that.You might try to adjust the bridge,it may help.
put a straight edge along the frets and check if the finger board is still straight!! it may have warped which some cheap models do,, not worth fixing,,, check the rear of the guitar where the strings are attached and see if there are adjusting screws or the strings have little sliders under them,,,adjust as needed,,
