it takes time but the way ur practicing, ur fingers should get used to it soon. Even good guitarists takes time to get used to a new guitar.

u’ll soon start developing calluses which would hurt too but will help ur fingers to be able to handle the strings better. sw33tazn28

Using light strings, 9’s, it only took me a couple weeks to get over any discomfort. This is on a good electric with a pro setup and low action though. Not sure about acoustic, but the way you are practicing you should be fine in a couple weeks I would think. ddrum

acoustic guitar? its gunna take a while. All that will change is your ability to last longer when playing. the more you play, the more callous will build up. Just keep playin, stop when you need to. you should start noticing a difference within a week or two. Just keep playing!

Acoustic guitars take some more getting used to than electric. the tension is much greater on acoustics, so you have to press harder on the strings.

    A LITTLE TRICK:
place your fingers on the wall and rub them rapidly back and forth across it for like 5 seconds. as if your cleaning a window. Its a temporary pain-easer. L i n x
