I have a Guitar Hero World Tour controller that has the yellow fret button not working. It is past the 90 day warranty and so I can save myself $50, I am attempting to open the fret board up and readjust the circuit board into position. A few of the screws were stripped when I went to remove them and I have no clue as of how to remove them. Please help if possible.
I am on a budget and cannot buy items so I am looking for a household remedy.

Call a hardware store. There is a tool that will removed the striped screws. If the hardware store does not have it try Sears and if they don’t have it email me as there may be a way I can find one for you. Mommiedearest

Both of my answers use a dremel like tool.

With a thin cutting wheel, you cut deeper in the screw creating a slot for a screwdriver.

The other with a tungsten carbide bit, grind the head off. When it is open, use pliers or a small pair of visegrips twist out the exposed screw.

If you destroy the area with the screw. Grind out and fill with a two part epoxy.drill and set a new screw. Bob

There is no household remedy - you need tools and not Heloise.

The screws have to be drilled out. pattiann42
