How do you play guitar hero metallica with just the Guitar controller?

disconnect or turn off the normal controller because you use it to control the microphone (there are no buttons on it) so it thinks by having the sixaxis controller on that you want to use the mic
Use your guitar to select all the options. If you use the sixaxis controller, it thinks you want to play using a mic.
connect to your xbox with the guitar not the controller.
that works with xbox it should work as well with ps3
