Hi. I have a guitar that I’m looking to sell and am trying to determine the resell value so I know what to ask or what I’m looking for at stores. Any tips or websites that could help me?

Thanks in advance.

Dan.

yes, go to eBay and see what similar guitars are selling for, it will give you an idea of what to ask for yours. Good luck

EBay, Craig’s List, Overstock.com, classified ads.

/ This isn’t an easy question to find a website to answer it for you.

Prices vary. You might want to look up your guitar on Ebay.com, or guitarcenter.com, or overstock.com
to find out how much it is worth.

If you sell it to a store as a trade-in, they won’t give you as much for it, as if you were selling it in the newspaper under ‘musical instruments.’

Is it a very expensive guitar, like a professional musician has been seen playing onstage? If so, the resale value will go up considerably over time, and you can ask much more than what you originally paid for it.

If it is a guitar that cost you a small amount, then it might go for less than what you paid for it.

When selling, make sure it is polished, and the strings are new, and it is in tune, and the case is clean. Put a clean guitar polishing cloth (usually yellow cotton) over the soundhole before closing the case. The potential buyer will see how well you kept the guitar.
