How can I stop my guitar from rattling or buzzing?
Jim asked:
It is a second hand electric guitar that rattles really loudly. The strings have been replaced multiple times. Is there a way I can stop it, or should I take it to the shop?

It could be your Amp your guitar cable or your pickups. It could be a lot of things but start with the cheep ones first. CRSP
Maybe the strings are too close to the fretboard, sometimes this only occurs in a few or even just one string and causes rattling. Easily fixed, just loosen your strings a bit, get a screwdriver and raise the bridge. When you think it’s high enough, bar your finger on the 12th fret and play on each string in that position; no rattling and you’re safe.
If the buzzing is coming from the amp then there’s either something wrong with your amp or the guitar output. Guitar outputs can easily be unscrewed and replaced. RustyHed
