How can i plug my guitar into my mac to use garageband?
Chews13 asked:
I have tried this so many times my head hurts!!! I can’t seem to find any details on how to plug in, or what i need to use to plug in and have tried a adaptor (guitar jack to headphone jack) which doesn’t seem to work.
Also when i’m in garageband i cant hear anything im playing, or any of the preset amps on there! Please help me, i really would like to be able to use this feature!!! Thanks

The iMac G5 has a built in preamp on it’s line-in. You don’t specify which mac you are using or it’s specs…you might have to use a preamp. Make sure you never plug a Speaker-Out from the amp in to the Mac, you will likely burn out your Mac’s Audio circuitry. As long as it’s Line-Out to Line-In, it will work fine, and there is no danger to your Macintosh. Not sure if this is the answer you’re looking for, I really need a few more details on your system. beach_baby_gurl
