I only need a basic idea. It doesn’t need to have a fancy design or even six strings…
Go to a music shop, and see if they have a pickup, and electronics from an old guitar. That will be the hardest piece to make. Might as well just get one. While there, get a set of strings.
Other than that, You can use plywood, cut and glued to form the body and neck. Stock pieces of wood for the bridges, etc…, size depending on your design..
Trim and plane pieces into the shape you want. You can use 4 thicknessess of inexpensive 3/8 plywood, stacked, to form the body, the center removed, with 1/8 inch hardwood plywood to cover the body.
