    DON’T!!!! Keep it the way it is. It will get better in time! Nobody, but nobody, repaints their guitar. The funkier, the better. Regards-Bob.

    YES! All paints pass vibrations at different rates.They also resonate differently. Check with reputable Guitar makers and manufacturers.

    In theory, paint will change the mass and perhaps density of the wood which will alter its acoustic properties. In reality, I don’t believe you will hear a difference that can actually be measured. But, hey, what do I know… I’m only a drummer.

    Got to agree with the answer that says don’t do it, the funkier the better!
