What do the values of capacitors in a guitar do?
Matty 2 Tears asked:
Hi! so recently ive started taking apart some of my old guitars to try to learn about the inner workings of guitars. I am totally new to this stuff. but I noticed that my strat and sg have .022 uf and .033 uf capacitors, respectively. What do these values do to the sound of the guitar? What about higher or lower values, what do those sound like? and what is the general range used?

How do pick ups in an electric guitar work?
Helena asked:
I understand how pick ups actually work, but what I don’t get, is how the lead connects to them or even so what the lead conects to. Please help as I am going to be making my own electric guitar soon and need your help in understanding it.

What’s the difference between a regular speaker and a guitar speaker?
xetx xxo asked:
I bought two cheap tower speakers (like what you would connect to a receiver), and I’m curious what the difference is between the 8″ driver of regular speakers and the drivers in guitar amps / cabinets.

Btw, I’m thinking about refitting (probably just one of) the towers I just bought with new drivers because one of the midranges doesn’t work. I intend to play loud guitar sounds with my Ibanez through a GT-10 -> receiver.
Thanks.
