How can I convince them to get me an electric guitar for Christmas?

For Christmas, I really wan’t an electric guitar. My parents are late on shoppoing because they’ve been busy. Whenever I ask them, they just laugh and say no. Why can’t I have one?They bought my sister a violin and a piano, and they still owe me some birthday/christmas gifts. I don’t mean to sound selfish, all I want is an electric guitar, is that too much to ask for?
